Canterbury have smashed Wellington in the first half of their Ranfurly Shield challenge at Westpac Stadium tonight. The challengers piled the pressure on the error-riddled holders right from the kick-off and did not let up during the half to lead 26-0 at the break in a match that is part of the Air NZ Cup rugby championship. Canterbury tries have gone to flanker George Whitelock and centre Tim Bateman while first five-eighth Dan Carter has added four penalties and two conversions. http://www.stuff.co.nz/sport/rugby/provincial/2814811/Canterbury-cruising-towards-Ranfurly-Shield-win

Laughter is the best medicine, unless you've got a really nasty case of syphilis, in which case penicillin is your best bet.

The shield is coming home. Apart from a lapse in concentration towards the end of the game, that was a near perfect performance from Canterbury. I also note in the last test between the All Blacks and the Wallabies, it took the injection of more Canterbury players into the All Blacks for them to start wiinning again. It would make perfect sense to me then for the whole Canterbury side to just swap their jersey's for All Black jersey's. NZ would be absoultly unstoppalbe then!!

Unlike those Ork-lund and One-Eyed Cantabrians, Wellingtonians are into sharing. They win the Shield, play with it for a short period of time, then pass it on to someone else.
By way of contrast, JAFAs and One-Eyed Cantabrians are greedy possessive bastards who try to hang on to the Shield for a long, long time, because they aren't into sharing with others. It's a personality fault/flaw inherent in JAFAs and Cantabrians....
