I would have placed them equal tonight. It could have gone either way but I'm delighted that Tamati won it. Nice to see a guy win - more difficult on them cos they need to lead and that's really tough on a non-dancer.

Do they do any Eagles songs?  Count me in if they do.  But then again a few Blue Sapphires, tonic and lots of ice and I reckon I could swing to Abba.

Barbara did great but Tamati is such a honey I had to vote for him.  And I especially enjoyed their tribute to our Vets especially Maori Battalion.  We used to march and sing to that a school .... geez I am getting old, how come I don't feel old...what does old feel like...bugga you lot probably can't tell me.  Huh

Oh well at least my Grandson Scott's friend thought the misquito bite on my neck that I had been scratching was a love bite. Guess there is still hope for me yet.

Daughter and her friend have sorted out the music for her party onto an ipod.  There are 'singing songs' then 'dance songs' then 'drunken singing songs'.  When I asked where ABBA came into that, she said I should just drink and wait to see.   Grin

I saw the stage production of MAMMA MIA in Sydney. It was great. I've seen the movie about 5 times - and loved it every time I saw it.

Well ... I'd be getting out the ABBA outfit - and the platform shoes - and embarrass the hell out of daughter and friend

Great result  .... I wouldn't have minded who won tonight both were great. Mr B wantedTamati to win because he reminds him so much of his late son.

Tamati and Barbara are both really lovely people. Up until the last 30 minutes I would have been delighted for either of them to have won ... THEN ... I had my fingers crossed really tightly for Tamati.

That's a pretty good reason for wanting tamati to win Brownie.

Hope it put a real smile on Mr B's face.

I voted for Barbara.
8yr old grandson has Abba Singstar and it goes backwards and forwards between his place and ours.  Just as well I like Abba.  He asked for it for Xmas, along with a drum kit and a ticket to Australia.

I have been saddened this morning hearing Julie Christie (producer of DWTS) saying - the public just dont understand - its not a dancing competition - its a popularity contest.

That's a stupid statement for her to make. IMHO - (well not so humble but my opinion nonetheless) BOTH Tamati and Barbara DANCED and danced well at that. They were both deserving of the title.

I suggest she asks the Judges - the Judges certainly judge it as a dancing competition.

It might appear to be a stupid statement - however shes the producer so should have a really good idea what it is.

I imagine some of the people vote on a popularity basis rather than abilities.
