So....as Ruth Richardson flogged off the railways, does that mean she was a Cabinet Minister in a Labour Government?  Shocked

1987 was the Lange Govt starting a Labour second term ...

asset sales started in 1987 .....

Yep....I started a thread at the old group about traitor politicians from the 4th Labour Government AND the 4th National Government who shit all over NZers and flogged off all the family silver. Which is why I have never voted for Labour or National ever since! Unlike some other dumbarses who still dutifully vote for either of those two traitor political parties who committed treason during the great Business Round Table experiment of the late 1980s and the 1990s.

Guess what? There's still traitors from both of those two governments who are still in Parliament. Some of them even sit around the current Cabinet table! One of them, who spent the past nine years slagging off at the Resource Management Act, was actually the Cabinet Minister in a previous government who introduced the Resource Management Act and shepherded it through Parliament and into law!! Can you guess who that is?

i thought any asset sales after Labour lost in 1990 were a tidy up of what Labour had committed to in 1987 - 90 ?

And the Greens are any better?
They have to have a man and a woman as co leaders? Isn't this a violation of human rights?? What happened to the best person for the job? Hypocrites.
Their anti smacking bill has done nothing to curb child abuse, it has just made it harder for law abiding parents to discipline their kids.
They support criminal organisations like the Ploughshares damaging the Waihope satellite.

Magpie grow up

Labour brought back the rail from Toll and obviously didnt do their home work or were hoping that idiots like yourself would think bravo Labour is gonna get my vote for giving NZ back its Rail network

what do you expect National to do ?

find some othetr gullible organisation to back back a piece of shit ?

National have given $115 million for new trains ......

The state rail operator will spend $40 million set aside by the previous government on 17 new carriages for the TranzScenic passenger routes. They will be built in Dunedin's Hillside factory.

KiwiRail will borrow $75 million to buy 20 new locomotives from China, which will arrive by August next year. They will be used to boost freight routes and free up engines for use on Auckland suburban rail services.

http://www.stuff.co.nz/dominionpost/4865926a6479.html

Kiwisaver was forced on NZers by Labour so that every working person MUST join no choice in the matter at all
National have dome some tweaking something that had to be done in these economic times

As for bailing out investors, that is something a Labour government wouildn't have a problem with.

thats why they set up the Deposit guarantee scheme http://beehive.govt.nz/release/deposit+guarantee+scheme+introduced

now any finance company can collapse and not give a toss about the money they have lost through shoddy deals and lining the directors pockets because the tax payer will pick up the tab and the investors wont loose a thing

Newton Fella can go on blaming Labour for everything National does....do you really believe the Nats are so thick they cannot decide anything for themselves?

and im not blaming Labour for everything that National does ...

duh whoes the dumb arse now ?

and thanks for pointing out my spelling mistake i have corrected it

jeez i dont want anymore lectures from you since your now also the spelling police ....

Newton Fella's comment on Kiwisaver that "every working person must join, no choice in the matter at all" shows his total, complete and utter ignorance.

Kiwisaver is NOT compulsory. No-one is required to join. When you start a new job you are signed up for Kiwisaver, but have the right to withdraw.

You can also take a contribution holiday......

If Newton Fella can get things so wrong, nothing he says can be relied upon. Everything needs to be checked as he clearly hasn't the faintest idea what he is on about.

its more your style .... Grin

so KiwiSaver may not be compulsory but if you dont join you have to belong to some scheme .... so it therefore does become a tad compulsory

the only people exempt are those on benefits

ive not joined as family trusts will pay my way in retirement  Smiley

Would that be the same anti-smacking bill that ALL Labour AND National MPs voted for?

Does this mean that ALL Labour AND National MPs are also retards in your view?

Meaning the present government are a bunch of retards because they voted to repeal Section.59 of the Crimes Act?

You can't get any better universal endorsement for leglislation than to have EVERY MP from the TWO MAJOR POLITICAL PARTIES vote for it with no dissentions whatsoever in the parliamentary debating chamber voting figures. Go and take a look at the voting results for that Bill in Hansard (it's all online via the Parliament website) to see that EVERY MP from BOTH MAJOR POLITICAL PARTIES (LABOUR AND NATIONAL) voted for that Bill to become law!!

Who says you have to belong to another or any superannuation scheme?

Please post the regulations making it compusory to belong to any superannuation scheme....I've certainly never heard of them!

I guess some of my workmates who haven't joined KiwiSaver OR any other super scheme must be breaking the law, according to you. Should they be worried about Mr Plod conducting a dawn raid demanding proof that they have joined a superannuation scheme? Which law have they broken by not paying into any superanuation scheme? Are they likely to end up in jail for this henous crime?

Newton Fella, you really are a prize idiot.....

Firstly you make claims against me but never produce any proof. When asked for proof you just duck for cover.

Then you say: "So Kiwisaver may not be compulsory, but if you don't join you have to belong to some scheme"....No you don't, where did you get that piece of total rubbish from? Your ignorance is breath taking. There is no legal requirement to join ANY super scheme. You really are incredibly ill informed.

Your credibility is shot, Newton Fella. Its no wonder your mate Ballasted Moth feels the need to come to your aid.

Ballasted Moth is feeling very proud of herself this morning. Her branch of the Libertarianz, all three members were present, last night voted her Idiot of the Year.

A well merited award, and her third in a row. There would have been a longer celebration, but the meeting had to disband as some drunk was demanding to use the phone box.

Communism failed because it was morally bankrupt and condemned ordinary people to a life of misery and servitude to benefit a privileged few. Libertarianism failed for exactly the same reason.

Ballasted Moth fails because she lost her brain several years ago and can't remember where.

Well, not quite....more like Deputy Idiot of the Year (after the chairs were re-arranged on their Titanic deck and the idiots all moved up one position following the head idiot moving on).

I didn't say communism was "disaserous" - I can't even pronounce it.

Communism is not a close cousin to socialism - they aren't even nodding acquaintances. Libertarianism is far closer to anarchy.

Thanks for the offer, but if  I ever need the support of someone who is as daft as a brush, I'll let you know.

Socialism doesn't have a politiburo - the red socialists pulled NZ out of the last Great Depression, now we will see what the blue socialists can do.

I see our National Government is now talking about subsidising workers to do nothing on the ninth day of every fortnight! Cripes, Key is starting to look more like Muldoon every day...... Roll Eyes
