Last photo with ears. The staining on her fur is from the HyperT gel we have to put in her ear every day but the spots around the edge are the damage visible from the inside of her ears. The outside is much worse. Post-op wearing the Cone of Confusion. She will look much better when the fur grows back.

Hopefully as forgiven you for the indignity of it all. They get such funny ideas. When poor Zara had to wear one of those collars, she had trouble eating and drinking. I was beside myself and really stressed out - probably more than she was.

It is basically to stop her scratching her ears until they heal.
She still looks like our Sally and there is nothing wrong with her hearing. The stitch line is on the inside edge of her ear so that she will grow a little furry rim around the edge of her remaining ear. This is so she does start into sunburn and cancer again.
She is also missing a small chunk of nose. We think she has a bit of a scrap with Bobby on Tuesday night because it wasn't like that at the vet on Tuesday. It seems to be healing so hopefully it isn't cancer related.

Sally is doing very well.
The vet was very pleased with the result on the first post-op check and Sally has been almost more cuddly and talkative than usual.
She is even happy to have her ears petted so long as I don't touch the stitch line. Head pats, scratches and smooches are fine and asked for.
If I could get her to stand of two legs and beg like Bobby does she would look like a meercat.

Glad to hear Sally is doing well and she's not holding you responsible.

The Vet has done a great job of 'trimming' - it looks very even and natural.

Yes, unless you know what to look for or notice that her ears are small compared to her legs the reduced size isn't obvious.
Amazing given how much was removed.
She's our little polar bear.

We found Sally this morning past away in one of her favourite shady spots. Her heart must have given up yesterday evening...she didn't appear when we got home from our picnic supper. RIP Little White Girl (aka Blond Bombshell)

After years of complaining about Sally's favourite night time sleeping spot between Mr Sp's left arm and his body Mr Sp admitted after tossing and turning a couple of nights ago that he is missing his little bed pal.
