Rocks and bottles thrown at police

A crowd of youths at a party at Mount Maunganui took an hour to be dispersed by police on Saturday night.

Police say 100 - 150 were involved on Ocean Beach Road. Rocks and bottles were thrown as officers tried to shut a party down. They were called at 10.30pm.

No arrests were made and there were no reports of injury.
