Can I please have some of the receipts that you guys use or have used in the past.
Browine I remember you gave me a weetbix slice but have lost the reciept and think you gave it too me on the old board.

Thanks so much eeryone,  these are for the kids not me.  cannot eat any of it so these are treats for the kids.

This is from the Chelsea Sugar website and it's a slice I make all the time.  It's great because you can use a range of dried fruit (what ever is in the cupboard).  And eventhough muesli bars are banned from B3's kindy, I can get away with sending this as it's completely nut free  Grin

Munchie Muesli Bars

Ingredients

125 g butter or margarine
1 cup Chelsea White Sugar
2 Tbsp Chelsea Golden Syrup
1 cup flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 cup coconut
1 egg
1 cup mixed dried fruit, ie raisins, currants, dried cranberries etc
5 Weetbix or equivalent dry whole-wheat breakfast cereal, crushed

Method

Preheat oven to 180C. Spray a sponge roll type tin approx. 20 x 30 cm with non stick baking spray.

Over medium heat, melt butter, sugar and golden syrup in a large saucepan. Remove from heat and add all the other ingredients and mix thoroughly. Press into the prepared tin. Bake for 20 minutes. Cut into bars while still warm but leave in the tin until completely cold before removing. Store in an airtight container.

Preparation time: 15 minutes
Cooking time: 20 minutes

Yay for Chelsea - this is another one that has become a favourite with the whole family and even with a committee I'm on.  My 4 year old can make this (with a little bit of help from me).

Chocolate Coconut Slice

Ingredients
125g butter, melted
200g Chelsea Soft Brown Sugar
1 egg, lightly beaten
1 tsp vanilla extract
110g plain flour
1 tsp baking powder
2 Tbsp cocoa powder
3/4 cup desiccated coconut
Extra coconut to decorate

Rich Chocolate Icing
1 cup of Chelsea Rich Chocolate Icing Sugar
1 knob of butter (approx. 10g)
11/2 Tbsp hot water

Method
Preheat oven to 175C then grease and line a rectangular slice tin (19cm x 29cm) with baking paper.
Beat butter, sugar, egg and vanilla in a bowl. Sift in flour, baking powder and cocoa and mix well, stir in coconut.
Spread mixture into tin and bake for approx. 20-25 minutes or until firm.
Remove from oven and spread with Rich Chocolate Icing while slice is still hot, then sprinkle with extra coconut. Allow to cool before cutting - slice should be slightly chewy.
