Excellent as usual Jodes...thanx for sharing. Grin Love the blue surfer....... love em all actually. I cant pin it down yet but all of your pix have a certain centredness or  something like that? lots of visual balance and strong compositions, they all look like they were taken with great care and as Im just an opportunist shutterbug Im finding it quite an education looking at your work.

A lot of thought goes into each image I shoot and I am thrilled to hear you see that shows.
I often use the rule of thirds but sometimes I will step outside the square do something different.
I have a few advertising shots here I will post later that may give you some ideas for your own work.

I try to use rule of thirds too....well some times, but keep forgetting the whens and wheres and what fors,
I see the last photo uses the triangle or pyramid design structure. But also the yachts and the lake photos have the same design element too....only its subtle. Thanx for uploading aye.

cool cool.

You'll eventually just shoot using the rule of thirds without having to think about it....though goes into subject of course but you will naturally shoot with balance.
I do try to step outside the box because it is creative and interesting.
