I wouldnt go so far as to say I hated people who say somethink - or AKS!!

It used to annoy me - but now I just put it down to deaf teachers.  If I was a teacher and heard kid using those 2 words I would be asking them to repeat their sentence - frequently you will find they can actually spell the word - which tells me they dont even think about what they are saying, or hear what they are saying.
