Sp2 uses a swing in the back yard a lot, several times a day every day.

It squeaks.

It started squeaking this afternoon and I wondered why Sp2 hadn't come in to change out of her uniform before starting to swing. It is not like her to deviate from routine like that.

I looked outside.


The swing was unoccupied and not moving, yet it was still squeaking.

I looked up to try and find the source of the metal on metal shreak, Was it the roof?

No.

It was a Tui in the Plum tree.
