Maybe, if subtle is what you are looking for, you need to say things like "Yes dear" (or whatever endearment you use with her), "You've told us that before".
My neighbour sent me an email that in part said this:
1. More often than not, when someone is telling me a story all I can think about is that I can't wait for them to finish so that I can tell my own story that's not only better, but also more directly involves me.
It had me in fits of giggles because it is so true of my neighbour, and she's the first to tell you so. If you interrupt her, she will fire back "Yes, but this is allllll about ME". She's hysterically funny and not overbearing once you accept that it is a personality trait along with all the other personality traits that make her up.
I think that offers you two possible paths.
1 When she interrupts, tell her "This is allllll about ME", or
2 When she interrupts and spiels on, roll your eyes and accept it is part of the whole and you love the rest of the whole
