Whether you scored tickets to the NZI Sevens or missed out, there's plenty to do in Wellington this weekend.
* Sevens action will also be showing live on big screens at Queens Wharf and Waitangi Park at various times tomorrow and Saturday. Tomorrow, Waitangi Day Te Ra o Waitangi, Waitangi Park, Wellington, 10am till 4pm.
* Kapa haka, live music, dance and food stalls, including traditional Maori kai. Sevens on the big screen from 4pm. Free entry.
*Festival of the Elements, Te Rauparaha Park and Arena, Porirua, 11am till 7pm. Cultural performances, competitions, art activities and live music, including reggae group Hikoikoi. Also a craft market at Pataka museum. Free entry.
* Radio Active 89FM's One Love concert, Hataitai Velodrome, from 11am. Featuring live music from The Black Seeds, Little Bushman and others, plus stalls and amusements for the kids. $10 admission, children under 15 free.
*Twenty20 cricket at the Basin Reserve, 11am till 2pm. State Wellington Firebirds v State Otago Volts. Adult admission $10; children under 18 $5. Free buses from the Basin to Westpac Stadium for sevens spectators.
Saturday:
* Chinese New Year fashion show New Clothes for the New Year, Queens Wharf, 2pm till 4pm. Courtenay Place street party, 6pm till late.
* Sevens action on the big screen, followed by live entertainment from 10pm. Sunday:
* Twenty20 cricket at the Basin Reserve, 2pm till 5pm. State Wellington Firebirds v State Northern Knights. Adult admission $15; children under 18 free with any paying adult.
* Chinese New Year Festival: - Asian Market at TSB Arena, 11am till 4pm. - Street parade, from Tennyson St to Frank Kitts Park, 1.15pm. - Cultural entertainment at Frank Kitts Park from 2pm till 4pm.
