Got a decent sleep in this morning. Mr. S didn't have to start until 9am, so didn't have to get up until 7am

I still woke up at 4:30 though, but it's not so bad when you KNOW you don't have to leap out of bed Grin

I've had heaps of colds since last October. Usually, summer is a respite from that sort of thing, but this year there has been all sorts of colds & flu going around. Buggered if I know why!

Hot lemon drinks - I really recommend them. At the first sign of a cold, take the juice of a large lemon (the real stuff not lemsip) and add boiling water, 2 teaspoons of manuka honey and a dispirin. Drink it while it's hot. 3 hot lemon drinks a day when you've got a cold will help. I used to swear by it when I was still singing.

Ali - i feel so good - Ive just walked all the way to the letterbox, we live down a ROW, and back without limping.  I could limp if I wanted to - but it felt strong and no pain co Im still on codienne.  There still is a swelling about the size of the palm of my hand but thats only one tenth the size it was.  I have to use the codienne co if I dont it feels real odd .. the smashed nerves arnt together yet - they still give me the feeling of flies crawling up my leg (drives me crazy) and a little more than the swollen area is still numb.

Im not sure I fully understand why  :-cr

Laughter is the best medicine, unless you've got a really nasty case of syphilis, in which case penicillin is your best bet.

It works best if you start taking the lemon drink at the first sign of a cold, however it won't do you any harm. It's a very nice drink and is a good extra dose of Vitamin C.

If your GP has no objection, I'd suggest you start gently massaging Anti-Flamme into the affected area. It will hurt to start with but may help free things up a bit. Sometimes the full feeling doesn't ever come back after an injury. I have spots in my left knee that are numb or tingly - 7 years after the knee replacement. There are still some numb spots from knee surgery I had back in 1981.

Bugger - Id be a tad pissed if that was the case.

Its been massaged every day for the last 2 or so weeks.  Daughter does massage - so I have a free/trained one on hand.  She makes her own massage creams and this one she made for me, rather than just for massage so its high in lots of yummy things for the skin and internals.  Its been feeling a lot better since we did that - just the movement of the skin felt good at first, and the oil has helped with the skin thats stretched with the swelling and now shrinking and peeling off  :tntrm

That intersection is still a wonder for us - we use it a few times a day - and always when we are sitting at the lights we go over it, you can still see the tyre marks where we started spinning and the yellow lines where our tyres were when the cops marked it.  The problem is, you can do everything right, and still have an intersection accident.

They have a statement from one of his passengers, she said "we started drinking early in the day, we were drinking bourbon and tequila, we had been drinking all day and had nothing to eat" (the accident was at 6.50pm)  Seems he injured 4 people so all the injury charges and failing to ascertain charges are times 4.  They reckon he will go away for a while - and we have asked for retribution, even if its $5 a week, dont care.

I can understand that - you want him to stand up and OWN what he did? Even beter if he owns it for a long, long time!
