I luuuurve one aspect of school holidays. We don't get the private school brats on the trains travelling home for the weekend on Friday afternoons, then returning on Sunday evenings. Which means nice peaceful trains for the normal travelling public.

However, the downside is huge numbers of snotty-nosed brats on the daytime trains during the week as hoardes of Wairarapa kids head off to Wellington for the day, while at the same time, hoardes of Wellington kids visit Wairarapa on day trips.

So I guess we win some, then we lose some! Undecided
