from The Washington Post....

A dispatch from Deep State Command

That awful political thing? We did that. And the other thing? Yep, that, too.

I WAS ON DUTY in the deep-state situation room, in the basement of the Comet Ping Pong pizza restaurant, when the news came in.

Alex Jones, the man President Trump has praised for his “amazing” reputation and for “standing up for what's right” had done it again: He had broken the news that we in the deep state were responsible for the mass shooting in Las Vegas. It was a clean scoop. He even knew we released O.J. Simpson from prison in Nevada 20 hours before the shooting to draw more media to the area. “The whole thing has the hallmarks of being scripted by deep-state Democrats and their Islamic allies using mental-patient cutouts,” Jones reported.

At this, a cheer went up at Deep State Command. As always, representatives of the various deep-state entities — intelligence officials; bureaucrats from the Justice Department, Education Department, EPA and NASA; journalists; globalists; Jews; sundry elites; and the Prince of Norway — were on duty. As luck would have it, I was doing my monthly shift that day.

We weren't cheering about the deaths, mind you. But such American carnage is unavoidable, given the goal of Operation ENDGAME, our plan to euthanize 80 percent of the world's population so global elites can live forever using advanced technology.

We were cheering because it is gratifying finally to be recognized for our labors. The work we have done in recent years has been exhausting, but we have toiled in obscurity.

We got the Air Force to create tornadoes and directed the FBI to bomb the Boston Marathon. We injected toxins into juice boxes to make children gay so they would not reproduce. Our Stratospheric Aerosol Geoengineering department has used the contrails of airplanes to cover the Earth in flood-inducing chemicals. We murdered Antonin Scalia, we staged the 9/11 attacks and Sandy Hook shootings, and we installed President Barack Obama as head of al-Qaeda. But we in the deep state never got the recognition we deserved.

Until now. Things are changing, and not just because Trump has put Jones in the mainstream. Fox News's Tucker Carlson and Sean Hannity are reporting regularly on our work, and smaller outlets such as the Daily Caller and Gateway Pundit have joined the pack. Above all, Stephen K. Bannon's Breitbart has been indispensable in building our reputation — so much so that almost half of Americans now know we deep staters exist.

Breitbart's eyes are everywhere. It reported that anti-Trump protests after the election were financed by deep-state member George Soros. It got wind of our plan to steal Trump's electors. Breitbart editor John Carney was onto us for planting a cover photo in Vogue of Jennifer Lawrence in front of the Statue of Liberty.

Breitbart determined that we deep staters had subjected Trump to “seven times more leaks” than Obama or President George W. Bush faced. It reported on our “de facto coup” against Trump and the existence of our “de facto shadow government”. It discovered the “silent coup” that we undertook with Obama staffers to undermine Trump. It knew we extended top security clearances for Hillary Clinton and her staff months into the Trump presidency.

Breitbart credited us with “getting rid of Michael Flynn” as national security adviser. It chronicled our employment of hackers to attack the computers of our foes, as well as our eavesdropping on Trump himself. It reported the accusation that the U.S. missile strike on Syria was called by the deep state. It uncovered booby traps we set for Trump throughout federal agencies.

Breitbart knew we in the deep state have sabotaged official communications, especially at the EPA, where we have a “particularly notorious fifth column”. It reported about us blocking intelligence officials from working in the Trump White House and punishing those who tried. It broke news of us planting anti-Trump “sherpas” in “powerful positions in the administration.”

Breitbart learned that we deep staters illegally communicate with one another “using encrypted cell phone technology”. It has the goods on our “deep-state prosecutors” at the Justice Department. It doggedly pursues the “unanswered questions” surrounding our involvement in the murder of Democratic National Committee staffer Seth Rich. It knows James B. Comey is one of us. It knows the deep state forced Trump not to move the U.S. Embassy in Israel to Jerusalem. It knows we “push transgender ideology onto schools”. And it reported about the firing of a National Security Council official who accurately argued that the administration is threatened by the deep state.

Breitbart says it hasn't accused us of assassinations or mass killings. But maybe, after Las Vegas, it will finally report the whole truth: The deep state is everywhere. We control everything.

Interior’s astonishing deep state: 30 percent ‘not loyal to the flag’

By Cheryl K. Chumley - The Washington Times - Tuesday, September 26, 2017
ANALYSIS/OPINION:
Ryan Zinke, secretary of the Interior Department, said that almost a third of his agency’s employees aren’t exactly President Donald Trump supporters — or fans of the American flag, for that matter.
Holy cow. Why are they still there? Talk about a deep state.
It’s one thing to work in the federal government for people with whom you politically disagree. It’s another thing entirely to work in the federal government of a country you don’t entirely support.
In a different day, a different time, that’d be cause for a red flag followup from U.S. intel agents concerned about government collapse or takeover from communist-aligned enemies, or otherwise anti-American forces.
But now?
Anti-Americanism, non-patriotism — these are just modern-day expressions of free speech.I got 30 percent of the crew that’s not loyal to the flag,” Zinke said during a speech to the National Petroleum Council, referring to his level of awareness in March when he took over the agency, The Associated Press reported. “We do have good people. But the direction has to be clear and you’ve got to hold people accountable.”
Yes — fire them. Honestly, a Democrat-led Interior wouldn’t hesitate to oust the Republican holdovers.
But absent that, at least Zinke has a plan to fight this Interior state of “deep state” politicking.
“There’s too many ways in the present process for someone who doesn’t want to get [a regulation passed] to put it in a holding pattern,” he said.
So Zinke’s charting a course to departmental reorganization that will limit how bureaucrats in the Washington headquarters can manage. Basically, he’s putting decision-making into the hands of state agents, and moving some of Interior’s agencies — like the Bureau of Land Management — to areas in the West.
Perfecto.
“Push your generals where the fight is,” is how Zinke put it.
Get ready for the culture change at Interior — and it’s one that’s been a long time coming. For far too long, land-use decisions have been inflicted on the general population from the bubble of D.C.’s sizable bureaucracy. That’s led to a system where feds control everything from how farmers farm, how cattle-ranchers raise cattle, how land owners out West access their very own properties.
It’s been tyrannical at times. The BLM has engaged in armed standoffs with private citizens.
An entirely new approach to federal land management is needed. Zinke’s plan to shift operations away from D.C. and toward the states is not only a constitutional solution, aligned with the principles of the 10th Amendment. But it’s one that will no doubt hand landowners back their private property rights — you know, the ones in the 4th and 5th amendments, the ones that were never supposed to belong to federal powers in the first place.

A 'geoengineering cocktail' is the latest last-ditch proposal to reverse climate change
Humans have been accidentally geoengineering for centuries. At what point should we do it on purpose?

BY
BECKY FERREIRA

Editors' note: This story is part of Dear Future, a collaboration between CNET and VICE Motherboard that looks at major innovations -- in robotics, space travel, VR and more -- shaping the world around us.

Earth is warming, and much of the uptick on our planetary thermostat is caused by human activity. Though many leaders persist in denying this reality, intense natural disasters and accelerated extinction rates are canaries in the coal mine for anthropogenic climate change, among many other worrisome trends.

Ideally, the response to this clear threat to civilization would be to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from the consumption of fossil fuels, which is the major culprit behind human-driven climate change. That's why world leaders convened in Paris to hash out a gameplan for capping the rise in global mean temperature rise to 2°C above the preindustrial average. But President Donald Trump's recent decision to pull the United States out of the Paris Agreement, signed in 2016, underscores a growing demand for a "plan B" to confront climate change, in case nations fail to get their act together in time to prevent catastrophic temperature increases.

One controversial solution is climate geoengineering, the notion that we could halt or reverse the warming of Earth with technological intervention. These concepts have historically fallen into two camps: solar radiation management and greenhouse gas removal.

The solar approach aims to boost Earth's albedo, or reflectivity, by introducing reflective aerosols to the stratosphere (as one example). These compounds would bounce sunlight back into space, thereby cooling the planet, almost like an Earth-scale version of painting your roof white. Greenhouse gas removal, meanwhile, would focus on scrubbing warming gases, especially carbon dioxide, from the atmosphere using a range of techniques.

The unknown side effects of humans tampering with complex planetary systems demands a cautious approach, lest our good intentions lead us to some kind of "Snowpiercer"-style dystopia. But if we do nothing to rein in our ongoing accidental geoengineering of the climate, we may well end up in a "Mad Max" dystopia, so it's worth considering all our options. This includes a cocktail combination of several approaches, an idea outlined by a Geophysical Research Letters study published in July.

"We could do SAI [stratospheric sulfate aerosol increase] and a slow ramp up of CDR [carbon dioxide removal]," study co-author Govindasamy Bala, a climate scientist at the Indian Institute of Science, told me in an email.

"Once CDR pulls out enough carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, SAI could be ramped down," he said. "This is one plausible scenario of climate engineering."

Another scenario explored in Bala's study melds together solar radiation management with the concept of cirrus cloud thinning (CCT), which has recently become a flashy new kid on the climate intervention block.

The CCT method, like solar radiation management, involves the careful release of compounds into the atmosphere to cool the planet. But instead of blocking shortwave radiation from outer space, this technique aims to figuratively throw open a window in the skies for longwave radiation to escape Earth.

Cirrus clouds, which are those wispy rippled structures that form at high altitudes over 20,000 feet, are something of a nephological anomaly. Lower thick clouds tend to reflect more sunlight (shortwave radiation) than they absorb heat (longwave radiation), leading to a cooling effect, but cirrus clouds do the opposite.

As a result, manually tweaking these clouds so that they dissipate faster could allow more heat to leave Earth, without throwing off the water cycle to the extreme projected with traditional geoengineering methods. This thinning could be theoretically accomplished by seeding cirrus clouds with particles that disrupt ice crystal formation (nucleation), leading to reduced cirrus cloud cover.

"With the caveat that there are still significant uncertainties associated with ice nucleation in cirrus clouds and its representation in climate models, cirrus seeding appears to represent a powerful [climate engineering model] with reduced side effects," concluded a team led by Trude Storelvmo, a climate scientist at Yale University, in a 2013 Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society study that modeled the impact of cirrus cloud seeding.

Follow-up studies have warned that the CCT strategy could backfire to create more cirrus clouds, or that it might have no impact at all. Given the persistent mysteries of cirrus cloud formation and dynamics, a lot more research needs to be done before it can be considered a viable solution to our warming planet.

To that point, some scientists have fretted that the debate over geoengineering is inherently damaging because it attracts focus away from climate change mitigation strategies with its allure of an easy out. Ultimately, the best case scenario is that humans change our current unsustainable behavior swiftly enough to avoid resorting to any of these ingenious but risky plans to hack the global climate.

Alex Jones has been a stupid clown for years before Trump came on America's political scene.

I've been laughing at his stupidity for years too!

And I've been laughing even harder at the dumb, gullible simpletons who get sucked in by his conspiracy theories and other bullshit.

Alex Jones really needs to be certified by a couple of doctors and banged up in a rubber room for his own safety.

from The Washington Post....

The antifa apocalypse is coming this weekend, if you believe the hype

The far right is worked up about demonstrations planned for November 4th.

FOR ANYONE logging time on the far right corners of the Internet, this coming Saturday is not just another autumn weekend but the potential start date of an apocalyptic showdown.

Infowars has warned “Antifa Plans ‘Civil War’ to Overthrow the Government”. The John Birch Society put out two recent videos warning Americans to “stay home and tell your children to do likewise” on Saturday.  YouTuber “A Glock Fanboy” notched more than 400,400 views for a clip raising the alarm about “the first day of the revolution or whatnot”.

“Honestly, I'm happy,” the YouTuber told his followers. “Dude, we've been on the verge of the great war for what seems like forever and I'm just ready to get it going.”

While November 4th has become a rallying point on the conservative landscape — complete with a hashtag “civilwar2017″ — down on the other far end of the political spectrum, the reality is equally significant. The left-leaning group Refuse Fascism is planning rallies across the country on Saturday, the first step in a large-scale, long game demonstration organizers hope will achieve nothing less than the unseating of the Trump administration.

“We formed this organization around two main points,” Andy Zee, one of the group's organizers, told The Washington Post. “One is that the nightmare must end, and second, in the name of humanity we must refuse to accept a fascist America.”

Zee maintains that Refuse Fascism is committed to nonviolent protest, and scoffs at the ideas floating through the far right of antifa super-soldiers waging war on mainstream society. If anything, the jarring disconnect over November 4th shows how easily facts are eaten alive by social media and regurgitated as conspiracy theory. The possible violence coloring that disconnect illustrates how truly ideologically isolated the two sides are from one another.

“It's absurd. Calling for a civil war?” Zee said. “Pick a date for a civil war? Honestly, what do you say to this?”

Zee's group does have big plans for the weekend — and beyond. He tells The Post the group is organizing demonstrations on Saturday in more than a dozen locations, including New York City, Los Angeles, Seattle and San Francisco.

Tapping the same kind of energy unleashed in the Occupy Wall Street movement and Women's March, Refuse Fascism hopes to spark regular protests against the administration, daily actions that will snowball until “every day there are tens of thousands of people protesting, creating a political crisis in the country with international repercussions, and where you do get a reaction from those in power that they have to do something about it,” Zee said.

The blueprint here, Zee told The Post, is the South Korean mass protest movement that began in October 2016 and eventually led to President Park Geun-hye's removal from office in March. “What we are trying to unleash is a process of continuous protest,” Zee said. “We can't just wait for the other shoe to drop. We've been saying from the beginning, with fascism, it can be too late.”

Zee is admittedly less clear on what that peaceful regime change would look like in the United States. “Impeachment, the 25th Amendment — they will determine the means and ways when it becomes clear there is a tremendous crisis of confidence,” the organizer said. The key is sending the message.

That message, however, so far has largely been lost in translation online. Rumbles about planned November 4th demonstrations began circulating on the Internet this summer, according to Will Sommer, the Hill editor who pens Right Richter newsletter. In September, a small group of Refuse Fascism organizers made a splash when they blocked traffic on Highway 101 in Los Angeles and held up signs reading “NOV 4 IT BEGINS,” LA Weekly reported.

Video clips of the demonstration accelerated the online panic over what could be planned for November 4th. More speculation was fueled by the involvement of the Revolutionary Communist Party, and many began to label the outing as an antifa event.

“On their website, they are calling for an open civil war that they will start here in the United States in November,” a YouTuber named Jordan Peltz said in a clip that went viral. “They are fundraising for weapons, training, ammunition, suppliers. They are not hiding this. They are openly fundraising so they can attack.”

“The end game here is martial law,” one video warns, “is provoking Republicans, patriots, whatever, you and me, into this huge battle, whether it's just fighting or whether it's guns. What they will do is they will throw up their arms and say, ‘I told you so, they're violent’ … They want us out there, with our weapons so the government will commence with martial law. And then, I believe, serious gun control-slash-confiscation.”

“Make sure you got enough ammo, make sure your guns are ready,” another poster advised in a clip with more than 110,000 views. “You have to understand these are vicious, vicious people. Your life means nothing to them. In fact, if you're a white man, you don't deserve to live.”

Infowars provocateur Alex Jones announced in a video that antifa was “going to lose on November 4th and every day after that, because they’re a bunch of meth-head pieces of crap.”

Refuse Fascism's Zee denies all that speculation.

The organization is engaged with a broad coalition of groups, including the Revolutionary Communist Party, but it has committed to Refuse Fascism's nonviolence stance.

On its website, Refuse Fascism also makes clear it sees “NO moral ‘equivalence’ between those seeking to impose white supremacy and fascism, and those fighting against this nightmare.”

Zee told The Post his group does “uphold the legal right to self-defense, but we don't initiate violence and we oppose violence.” He added violence would only feed into the negative image of the group. “We are not looking to get involved in that kind of situation,” he said. “We are in the fight for hearts and minds of people to recognize the stakes.”

Still, the online hysterics over November 4th have put the potential demonstrations in the crosshairs of extremists.

“It's utter lunacy on these sites. If you read their stuff, and people are believing it,” the organizer added. “They are calling for people to bring their weapons to the demonstrations. We just have to outnumber them.”

from The Washington Post…

God bless the ‘deep state’

Trump ignores evidence of his own intelligence community on election hacking.

BEFORE this harebrained and reckless administration is history, the nation will have cause to celebrate the public servants derided by Trumpists as the supposed “deep state”.

The term itself is propaganda, intended to cast a sinister light upon men and women whom Trump and his minions find annoyingly knowledgeable and experienced. They are not participants in any kind of dark conspiracy. Rather, they are feared and loathed by the president and his wrecking crew of know-nothings because they have spent years — often decades — mastering the details of foreign and domestic policy.

God bless them. With a supine Congress unwilling to play the role it is assigned by the Constitution, the deep state stands between us and the abyss.

Witness, with horror and shame, Trump's disgraceful performance on the world stage during the past week. The lowest of several low points was his joint appearance on Monday in Helsinki with Russian President Vladimir Putin, who smirked with obvious glee as the president of the United States soiled himself. Metaphorically, I mean.

Trump said that Director of National Intelligence Daniel Coats and other officials had told him “they think” Russia meddled with the 2016 election. But Putin issued an “extremely strong and powerful” denial when the two leaders met privately, and Trump concluded that “I don't see any reason why it would be” Russia. Coats fired back within hours, issuing a statement that reiterated the intelligence community's consensus view, which is not “we think” but “we know”. Trump's ridiculous claim Tuesday that he meant to say “wouldn't” instead of “would” amounted to nothing more than a moment of comic relief.

Thanks to a New York Times article published on Wednesday night, we now know that the nation's top intelligence officials briefed Trump in detail about the Russian meddling on January 6, 2017 — two weeks before his inauguration. According to The N.Y. Times, the officials shared with Trump powerful evidence that the interference, meant to boost Trump's chances of winning, was ordered by Putin himself.

So we know that when Trump casts doubt on Russia's culpability, he's not speaking from a position of ignorance. It's not that intelligence officials have asked him to take their conclusion on faith. They've shown him the goods. He's just lying.

Who were the anonymous sources for The Times story? I have no idea. But if I had spent a career fighting for my country in the secrets world, and I heard my president give more credence to the former KGB officer who rules an undemocratic Russia than to his own intelligence chief, I would be angry.

And if I had also heard my president welcome what he called an “incredible” offer from Putin — that he would allow special counsel Robert S. Mueller III to observe questioning of the 12 Russian spies he indicted last week if Russian authorities were also allowed to interrogate Americans they speciously accuse of crimes, including a former ambassador to Moscow, Michael McFaul — I would be furious and alarmed. I would have to wonder about the loyalty of my commander in chief. And I would have to think about my duty to the nation.

Russian officials have said publicly that they are ready to begin implementing agreements reached by Trump and Putin during their two-hour private meeting, which only one Russian and one American translator were allowed to attend. But according to The Washington Post, in an article also published on Wednesday night, high-ranking U.S. diplomatic and military officials did not know what those agreements were.

Did they reach some sort of understanding about nuclear arms? About Syria? About Russia's illegal annexation of Crimea? If you worry, as I do, that Trump may have intentionally or unintentionally given away the store, you have to root for the deep state to find out what transpired in that room — and find ways to reverse, or at least mitigate, the damage.

Is Trump so obsequious to Putin because his ego will not allow him to acknowledge that the Russian strongman helped him beat Hillary Clinton? Or does Putin have something on him? We will get answers at some point, but we can't ignore what we appear to be seeing right now: ongoing collusion, between Trump and Putin, to impede and denigrate the Mueller investigation. It's happening before our eyes.

Democrats in Congress are powerless; the Republican leadership, spineless. Experienced government officials know that their job is to serve the president. But what if the president does not serve the best interests of the nation?

In this emergency, the loyal and honorable deep state has a higher duty. It's called patriotism.
