.......Until yesterday I had no time for NZ First....but this has changed everything😳.....
...but I wonder if all Peter's supporters will like this new policy....🙄

Winner, winner, chicken dinner. NZ First promises binding referenda on Māori seats, reducing Parliament to 100 seats

Winston Peters is onto a winner here.

He is proposing two binding referenda on Maori seats and reducing parliament to 100 seats.

New Zealand First has announced a new policy at what leader Winston Peters called a “rally” in Auckland on Sunday afternoon.

Mr Peters would hold two binding referendums on the same day. They would be on two issues:

Whether to retain or abolish Māori seats,
Whether to maintain or reduce the size of Parliament to 100 MPs.
No further policy was announced, but Mr Peters told the crowd policy in the “battle for New Zealand” would be announced over the next nine weeks.

Mr Peters used his speech to argue the National Party is lacking in stability, questioning Nick Smith’s housing policy, policing policy and rates of unemployment.

He said political correctness is “threatening free speech in New Zealand” and defended his party’s immigration and “one law for all” policies as “not racist”.

Mr Peters said the “real racists” are politicians who bring in migrants while allowing services and infrastructure to fail.

“If it’s not migrants that have helped cause a housing crisis, then the blame must lie with the government and politicians that failed to first build houses for them to come to,” Mr Peters said.

The “real racist” are “those politicians who didn’t give a rat’s derriere as to what environment immigrants were walking into to”, he said.

This is going to be real popular.

National voters who are sick of pandering to the Maori party and the ongoing brownmail over water, the foreshore and water will be ecstatic.

You can almost ignore everything else and vote for Winston on just this policy.

Oooooooh, goodie.....that means the Treaty of Waitangi is no more.

Which means that Maori are no longer subject to whitie's laws.

...good to see NZ First is against racism😉

Winston Peters dismisses flip-flop and says all Kiwis will vote on whether Maori seats should be abolished

Winston Peters wants the nation to decide whether or not to abolish Maori seats - and if New Zealand has too many MPs overall.

A vote on a referendum to abolish the Maori seats will be for everyone "regardless of race", says Winston Peters.

The NZ First leader has ruled out only those on the Maori roll voting in a referendum on whether to keep the seven Maori seats - a bottom-line policy announced at the weekend.

Peters said he made it "very clear" in his speech to party supporters on Sunday that this is a "vote for everybody who is over 18 years of age, who is entitled to be on the New Zealand electoral roll regardless of race".

Donald Trump is a LOSER!!

Six months as President of the USA and with a Republican majority in both Congress and the Senate, yet he hasn't managed to get a single piece of legislation covering his election promises passed into law.

No repeal or replacement for Obamacare.

No money from congress for his wall; and Mexico has told Trump to “go fuck himself!”

“I will make America great again!” said the Orange Goblin. Instead he has turned the country into an international laughing stock.

Remember the old Self Help advertisement from the 1960s?

“Self Help are CHEAPER, CHEAPER, CHEAPER!” accompanied by a crowing rooster.

I reckon somebody should make a 21st century version of that ad: “Donald Trump is a LOSER, LOSER, LOSER!”

.....Lefty pic gone crazy...😳

Insulting Race based discrimination at Auckland University

University of Auckland, New Zealand
Imagine if you were competing with others to get accepted into a computer course that required a grade point average of at least 2. Now imagine that you realised that you were not good enough because your best GPA was only 1.5. Now imagine that the course coordinator taps you on the shoulder and tells you that you don’t have to worry because that minimum requirement only applies to all the other races. They explain that they have lower expectations for people of your race and so will let you into the course.

Would you be insulted? I know I would. If I was a person of that particular race who had achieved a GPA of 2 or higher I would be even angrier because employers will assume that I got in because of my race not because of my ability. Allowing in people who didn’t make the grade casts doubt over the ability of anyone of that race who did make the grade.

At Auckland University the computer science 200-level  courses have a lower minimum requirement for students who are Maori or Pacific Islanders. Is Auckland University insinuating that Maori and Pacific Islanders have lower IQ’s and are unable to compete on an even playing field against non-Maori and non-Pacific  Islanders? There is nothing positive about this discrimination. It is an insulting and racist policy. Essentially it is the bigotry of low expectations.

Additionally, why should a non-Maori student with a higher GPA miss out on an opportunity to be on the course because some of the spaces have been filled by people of lesser ability? This is discrimination against them because of their skin colour and race. How can that possibly be okay? Academia must be about excellence and you should only gain a place because you met the same requirements as everybody else.

Latest Newshub poll: Labour surges, Greens slump, Winston in box seat

The latest Newshub/Reid Research poll is out.

The Labour Party is celebrating an explosive boost in support – and it’s all down to the “Ardern Effect”.

In the latest Newshub-Reid Research poll Labour has jumped 9 points up to 33.1 percent.

This is the party’s highest percentage in our polling since January 2014 when it was 33.5 percent.

Yes, but still less than David Shearer when Labour rolled him.

But it doesn’t appear to have had much of an effect on National’s numbers – they’re down 0.8 to 44.4 percent.

Significantly though, this is National’s lowest percentage in more than 10 years. It was only lower in March 2007 when they achieved 42 percent, just after John Key took over as leader.

The poll was conducted from August 2-8; the first day of polling was Ms Ardern’s first official day in the Labour leadership job.

The increase in Labour’s numbers has come largely from the Greens who have crashed down 4.7 points to 8.3. It’s also come from New Zealand First – down 3.8 points to 9.2 percent. NZ First had a historic high in the last Newshub-Reid Research poll.

Based on those numbers National would get 55 seats in Parliament and Labour would have 41.

To govern, either side needs 61 seats. National wouldn’t be able to get there with its current support partners and would need NZ First’s 11 seats.

Labour would also need NZ First, as adding the Greens’ 10 seats would only get them to 51.

There is some good news. On this result, Andrew Little would make it back into parliament and then he can exact revenge on Robbo and his mates for their long planned coup.

The wisdom of National muppets installing Bill English as the leader is now exposed.

Winston Peters remains in the box seat. Bill English can’t form a government without him and neither can Jacinda Ardern.
