Why do you believe the maker of an object is responsible for the use its put to?
Do you believe Honda should be held liable for the use of a Honda Prelude to run over and kill a group of people?

I do not understand your reasoning.

Guns are specifically designed to KILL living things when used as they are intended to be used.

Cars ARE NOT designed to KILL living things when used as they are intended to be used, but like most things, may kill if mis-used.

Big difference.....I can see the difference.....can't you?

No.
The principle is the same.

I would concede your point if the arms manufacturer was doing something illegal, but as it stands, both the arms and the car manufacturer are lawfully carrying out their business.  What a purchaser does with an item lawfully manufactured, and lawfully sold is not the responsibility of the manufacturer of either.
Once again, I would concede you would have a point if the manufacturer knew that a retailer was going to sell one of their weapons to a crazed psychopath, but of course, like the car maker, they would have absolutely no knowledge of who any retailer would sell to.
Further, if a retailer sells a car, which has been described as the single most effective weapon in history, to our crazed psychopath, who then uses it to kill a dozen pedestrians - surely the car manufacturer must be as liable as that of the weapon?  They must know that there is a very good chance that such a person is eminently liable to buy a car?

The courts will decide.

And with the US Supreme Court deadlocked (thanks to the stupid Republican Party), the gun manufacturer won't be able to rely on the Supreme Court to block the lawsuit against them. Bring it on!!

Quite.
If their courts dispensed even handed justice, the suit would be booted into touch before it even left the starting gates [to mix a few metaphors]
However, as we all know the American courts have the most fantastically convoluted system of justice this side of Aldebaran, and anything can - and does happen there.

they should ban ktj's right to self defence and his free speech, ban white people because of their skin color, ban trains and cars because they kill, ban planes because they crash and become a murder weapon, ban running in the playground because kids might fall down and hurt themselves and ban the communist party and their ideals because they are too stupid to be allowed to exist .and ban their mindless repetition rhetoric.

we will need guns to enforce all my new laws because all humans might be criminals and we might need to line them up against the wall and shoot them for not obeying the new command or they may want to live in a free country and we can't abide with that.

a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do,
oh that's a bit sexist of me and very not pc maybe its a person gotta do what a person gotta do,

Out of all those things (and senarios), only GUNS are SPECIFICALLY DESIGNED to KILL when used as they are intended to be used.

Are you trying to claim that a gun is a mere paperweight or ornament?

If that is the case, then why have such a thing as ammunition!

A dangerous firearm is a relatively rare item, and invariably caused by lack of maintenance.
A firearm is merely a tool.  Its the user that is the problem

There are of course, dangerous people.
These people may be those who knowingly sell a weapon to a lunatic - or a dangerous person may merely purchase legally.
For you to blame a weapon for the sins of its owner is disingenuous.

World is far too overpopulated, we need more inventions of things designed to kill people to help keep our numbers in check.

This.
At the risk of heading off on a tangent, nature does her best to keep populations in check.  Unfortunately, humans have the intelligence to circumvent these checks and balances.
Vaccination, save the children, medical intervention programs, social welfare etc, all put into place with the best of intentions and all adding to the burden carried by our planet.

Yeah.  She's trying, but you watch.  Some smart bastard will come up with an inoculation to undo her efforts!

I do not understand your reasoning.

The wrong analogy has been used. Perhaps a better one with be to use another product that if used correctly kills.

e.g. Tobacco

Tobacco companies have been taken to court over smoking related deaths and lost. Admittedly another industry that produces a product that causes much harm has yet to be successfully prosecuted is the liquor industry. Both those groups and the Gun industry have powerful lobby groups and until the teeth get well and truly pulled out of the lobby groups such has been happening to the Tobacco industry in many countries both those products will continue to cause death, disability and destruction.
