So when does this year's DST begin?

Btw, I must remember to tell the neighbour who now has my old tide clock on their lounge wall (and is waiting for the next full moon before they set it going) that it is not able to reset automatically to DST and therefore they will need to do mental exercises to get the real state of tide.

BTW....I got the time wrong.

Daylight saving actually begins at 2:00am when it suddenly becomes 3:00am.

And that is the time when a group of 250 people are setting out from Featherston to march along SH2 over the Rimutaka Hill Road to Kaitoke, then on to Upper Hutt as part of a re-enactment of the WWI soldiers who were marched over the hill from Featherston Army Camp to Trentham Army Camp prior to being transported by train to Wellington for embarkation on troop ships heading to the other side of the world to be used as cannon-fodder by the British upper-class generals.

About thirty of them will be dressed in reproduction WWI army uniforms (supplied by Wingnut Films), including Jack Hayes, who is a former NZSAS commander and one of my workmates working as a ticket assistant on the first train out of Masterton at 5:45am each weekday morning. Jack has been pounding the hill road on several occasions over the past few months working out how long the march will take. He is a real fit bugger for his age (he isn't too far off 70).

TFT Calliope.  Must be the cloudy mornings here lately making it so dark.

February always was our hottest month and Summer seems to have missed us this year.
