Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body.

But rather, to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming...

WOW, What a Ride!"

Please note: IMHO and e&oe apply to all my posts.

The photos were originally 8-mega-pixel images. I used Photoshop Elements to create downsized copies of 800-pixel width, then uploaded them to PhotoBucket. I then posted them directly from PhotoBucket into the messages on the parent thread of this topic in this messageboard.

BTW...as you have no doubt noticed, I split the original thread and moved the reply messages into this commentary thread so that the original thread displays only the messages I posted displaying the photographs (with some commentary).

There are actually 131 photographs in total from this topic uploaded to PhotoBucket (all of 800-pixels width, including a small number of portrait alignment images, which are huge as regards the image height (1200-pixels high). It may take me a few weeks to post them all into that thread and caption them, but I will get there eventually.

Enjoy them....you've only seen a tiny little taste of evening shots taken when I headed into Mount Cook Village on the Easter Sunday. The best (by far) is yet to come, including a lot of aerial photographs taken on both sides of the Main Divide on Easter Monday 2008.
