Warm, Humid - And I can hear the bloody grass rustling as it accelerates upward!  Mowed the lawns day before yesterday, and they need another mowing.

We've just had a fairly decent thunder and lightning storm. It came from nowhere!

Your gardens will get the benefit of the nitrogen released by the lightning, but it's bad for starting bush/scrub fires.

We must have had at least some rain - dog went out at about 4 am, came back in with a sprinkle of damp on her coat.

I guess there's more where that came from.

It rained heavily overnight but was still very humid. The garden has been well watered.

We have had a drizzly rain in my patch every day for the last week, but over the ditch in our West Island they are getting a hammering with a cyclone forming, supercells and flash flooding.

I guess NZ's right in it's track

Grey and grumpy looking here this morning but a high of 17 reported with no rain in sight today.    We have had a good amount of rain over the last week and the country side is looking good right now with plenty of stock feed.          Took a run to Temuka on Tuesday and was surprised at the lack of water in the rivers along the way.     Cow cockies irrigating probably.  Roll Eyes

Accuweather for my neck of the woods says 30c for us today. If you see a wee grease spot here, that's me.
We had drizzly rain helped revive the growth so my sweet peas are doing their best to liven up the bees.

Too hot for comfort here at present.

Conversation through Word Feud games with present owner of camp.
(We are accustomed to max temps of 16c to 21c)

P: I've just cleaned camp. Inside now dying a slow hot death lol

Me: Sit in chair; Cuddle a damp cold towel. Xtreme heat? Lie raw on bed covered by a really wet towel

P: Got too many customers around for that lol

Me: Create a group coolathon

P: Now there's an idea

Me: Better perhaps to just Skinnydip down at the beach  -  but I think most visitors there will be loving the warmth

Another hot day in Wairarapa.

It's already 30°C at my place and it isn't even quite lunchtime yet!

Plenty of fans circulating the air inside my place, trying to stop the temperature from rising too high, although it's probably like trying to shovel shit uphill.

It's muggy in the Hutt today - also muggy in Wellington Central.

 I have 32c here:

I have sprayed myself with cold water, am wearing next to nothing with a wet facecloth on my head, heat pump auto cooling, lying back in my lazy boy with a oscillating desk fan playing on my bare feet, and a neighbour knocks on the door.

18c to 20c is my comfort zone so come on in and join the party.

And NITZ runs off to check what time it is where you are.

Yak said "not a cloud to be seen in any direction, the birds are singing and all appears well with the world,"

Ok he was up early but clouds should be gathering soon to deliver some wet for late afternoon across the ditch in Wolongong.
According to the link I gave

(Wee laugh: I sort of get the feeling that Yak doesn't open links)

The weather was playing “opposites” on opposite sides of the dividing range at the bottom of the North Island this morning.

Clear, starry skies in Wairarapa during the wee hours, followed by grey & drizzly on the western side of the ranges in the Mangaroa Valley, Hutt Valley and Wellington early this morning, then back to blue skies and sunshine in Wairarapa mid-morning and into late-morning.

The temperature is rapidly rising (again) in Wairarapa....it's turning into another hot one!
