Can someone in authority please make the decision to yank those embarrassing amateurs masquerading as the NZ Cricket team, home?
They can be replaced by the Otago Boys High 1st eleven, who would undoubtedly do a better job. Roll Eyes

..GO the BLACK CAPS Grin

Who could end the Black Caps' Cricket World Cup dream?

Last updated 14:20 26/01/2015

The Black Caps' brilliant form in the ODI series against Sri Lanka has got them firing on all cylinders ahead of the Cricket World Cup.

Long-suffering fans are starting to believe this could actually be New Zealand's year. But who are the greatest threats to Black Caps glory?

If Sri Lanka's inspiring fast bowler Lasith Malinga returns from injury in good form, they will be an entirely different proposition to the side New Zealand has picked off this summer. He has ripped too many Black Caps batting line-ups apart to be taken lighten.

Australia has been tearing it up all summer - star batsman Steven Smith seems incapable of scoring anything other than a century and Mitchell Johnson remains one of the most feared quicks in the game.

Speaking of fear, how about AB de Villiers' South African line-up? De Villiers has just cracked the quickest tonne in ODI history, Hashim Amla is pretty much never out of form and Morne Steyn is lethal leading their bowling attack.

Even England - who are in New Zealand's group for the early stages of the tournament - has shown signs of a surprising resurgence after dumping former captain Alistair Cook.

Who is most likely to shatter Kiwi dreams? Will it be 1992 all over with a Pakistani batsman kissing the pitch - and New Zealand's hopes of World Cup glory - goodbye? Or are there lesser lights in the cricket galaxy who could prove our undoing this time?

I would like to think NZ will win, but they gave Oz a wake-up call and they have lifted their game, so I doubt it somehow................

John Key was the cause of the loss....he is a jinx.

Fresh from a kicking in the Northland by-election, he fled the scene (typical John Key, run away from the aftermath when the going gets tough) and fled across the Ditch to spray his bad-luck all over the Black Caps. The sooner that clown is no longer the PM of NZ, the sooner things will improve on ALL fronts.

Cricket World Cup: Black Caps should be immensely proud - John Key
JO MOIR
Last updated 09:25, March 30 2015

Prime Minister John Key joined the Black Caps for a few beers following their Cricket World Cup final loss on Sunday.

After the crushing defeat Key took the opportunity to congratulate them over a beer on what they had achieved, he told TVNZ's Breakfast.

"Win, lose or draw I was always going to have a drink with them and congratulate them. I think they should be immensely proud," he said.

"They were a little sad obviously right after the match - who wouldn't be - but they threw their heart and soul at it."

Key said he stayed for a couple of beers and took a few photos while the players' families started to arrive.

"It was nice to go and personally say I was proud of what they'd achieved on behalf of New Zealand. They captivated the country, which was great."

He described the MCG stadium as a "cauldron bubbling with excitement".

"But you knew when you lost [Brendon] McCullum so early on that it was going to be a challenge."

Well done John Key for putting up a shonkey wife-basher as candidate in Northland, then when the police began to investigate his wife-bashing activities, lie about it to the NZ public and appoint the wife-basher to the head of a major select committee dealing with justice.

Then, when the heat became too much and the wife-basher resigned from Parliament and the inevitable by-election was held, well done John Key for blatantly attempting to BUY the election result and when that was obviously failing, for making threats to the Northland electorate, then when still on a hiding to nothing, for running away like a sewer rat and failing to support the candidate on election night, instead preferring to swan off to Melbourne in the vain hope of basking in some glory by sportsmen who ended up coming under the jinx spell of the idiot prime minister and lost.

What a corrupt, gutless, snivelling piece of shit our current prime minister is. Not to worry....reality will continue to lick his arse no matter what.
