Aussie rugby player investigated over peeing his pants

An Australian rugby player is being investigated after a bizarre complaint alleged the player urinated in his shorts to ward off would-be tacklers.

According to reports in Australia's The Daily Telegraph, the Vikings Rugby club have requested action be taken against a player from rival club Avondale after he was believed to have relieved himself either before or during their game last weekend.

The letter was accompanied by a photograph that seems to show an incriminating stain on the player's shorts.

It is understood the player at the centre of the allegations was the subject of an identical complaint last season.
He did not face discipline action last season after the club vowed to stamp out the problem.

[W]hat the internet and its cult of anonymity do is to provide a blanket sort of immunity for anybody who wants to say anything about anybody else, and it would be difficult in this sense to think of a more morally deformed exploitation of the concept of free speech.
