Bentley is going to be a real smooch - headbutts, facial kisses. He's a wee treasure. Both his Mum and Dad (Suzie and Simon) are very affectionate and do wonderful cuddles.

Auntie Ali has 2 of Bentley's older sisters. She's just a little bit biased.

I think I am in love. I'll be visiting his Breeder in 2 weeks so will get to meet Bentley. A friend will be staying with me from Hastings she has one of Margaret's delights so we are going to visit so they can catch up. One of Margaret's other wee girls (Dannii) had 6 babies 4 days ago. I'm looking froward to meeting them as well. Suzie (Bentley's Mum) gives lovely smooches and I always have cuddles with her (she is Bailey's Mum).

lol Auntie 'Goo, I was going to go up with my daughter to pick him up, but she's 20 and it's time she took control. Also, you know I couldn't have walked out of there without opting in on one of the kittens. And now is not a good time for me to get kittens. No. Nah. Not!
I'm pretty sure Auntie Ali could sell icecream to igloo dwellers.

PMSL - Margaret laughs at me each time I refer another potential Burmese Mum or Dad. It all started with Mitzi when Mum and Dad's 17 year old Tonkinese, Jasmine died. I was referred to Margaret in Palmerston North. I saw the other kittens when I collected Mitzi (she was 12 weeks old at the time). Not long after that I met Bailey for the first time - she was one of 12 kittens to 3 Mums at the time. The 12 kittens used to spend all day every day together playing and sleeping. When I visited I took my camera (of course!) and took loads of photos. When I got home and looked at the photos I had taken, most of them were of a little Chocolate Girl (she was 9 weeks old at the time). I called her Bailey from the start even before there was even a hint I might get her. Margaret heard me refer to her as Bailey. I visited a few times on my way to and from Hastings. It seemed strange (LOL) that ALL of the kittens EXCEPT Bailey seemed to be spoken for. I was worried because of Yogi (that's another story) so was being very cautious. Out of the blue Margaret rang and asked me if I'd like to taker her on trial to see if it would work out. TRIAL - like anyone was going to get me to part with her once I had her in my possession!!! She answered to Bailey as soon as I got her so I'm deeply suspicious that I was set up

It is only a matter of time before one or even two Burmese Furbundles make their way into the Dragon's Den Trust me - I could sell icecream to igloo dwellers apparently

Did I mention Dannii has just had 6 babies? I know two of them might be spoken for .. but at the moment there are 4 others who could be looking for accomodation. Just saying ...

Macavity - The Mystery Cat a poem by T S Eliot
Macavity's a Mystery Cat: he's called the Hidden Paw-- For he's the master criminal who can defy the Law. He's the bafflement of Scotland Yard, the Flying Squad's despair: For when they reach the scene of crime--Macavity's not there!
Macavity, Macavity, there's no on like Macavity, He's broken every human law, he breaks the law of gravity. His powers of levitation would make a fakir stare, And when you reach the scene of crime--Macavity's not there! You may seek him in the basement, you may look up in the air-- But I tell you once and once again, Macavity's not there!
Macavity's a ginger cat, he's very tall and thin; You would know him if you saw him, for his eyes are sunken in. His brow is deeply lined with thought, his head is highly doomed; His coat is dusty from neglect, his whiskers are uncombed. He sways his head from side to side, with movements like a snake; And when you think he's half asleep, he's always wide awake.
Macavity, Macavity, there's no one like Macavity, For he's a fiend in feline shape, a monster of depravity. You may meet him in a by-street, you may see him in the square-- But when a crime's discovered, then Macavity's not there!
He's outwardly respectable. (They say he cheats at cards.) And his footprints are not found in any file of Scotland Yard's. And when the larder's looted, or the jewel-case is rifled, Or when the milk is missing, or another Peke's been stifled, Or the greenhouse glass is broken, and the trellis past repair-- Ay, there's the wonder of the thing! Macavity's not there!
And when the Foreign Office finds a Treaty's gone astray, Or the Admiralty lose some plans and drawings by the way, There may be a scap of paper in the hall or on the stair-- But it's useless of investigate--Macavity's not there! And when the loss has been disclosed, the Secret Service say: "It must have been Macavity!"--but he's a mile away. You'll be sure to find him resting, or a-licking of his thumbs, Or engaged in doing complicated long division sums.
Macavity, Macavity, there's no one like Macacity, There never was a Cat of such deceitfulness and suavity. He always has an alibit, or one or two to spare: And whatever time the deed took place--MACAVITY WASN'T THERE! And they say that all the Cats whose wicked deeds are widely known (I might mention Mungojerrie, I might mention Griddlebone) Are nothing more than agents for the Cat who all the time Just controls their operations: the Napoleon of Crime! That is one of my favourite poems.
Hate to mention it DT but Bentley looks like he knows a thing or two. Sp1 is already going AWWWWWWWW.
If it wasn't for what I have had to shell out at the vet last week (Sally) and this week (Bobby)and again next week (Bobby again)...

Bentley was unimpressed with his plane ride. However, he was tolerant of the car ride to my house, met Garfield (who is sulking), met Daisy (who freaked out), met Gus (who he promptly put in his place and showed us all how huge his tail could fan out to). Taken to him new home to settle in and there's been no emergency calls. Thank you Ali for your help and guidance in this. He's fabulous. And NO! I can't have another cat.

He's certainly being well loved. I'm on baby sitting duty this weekend. Miss DT is taking the twins for their first pub outing and she is scared she'll squash him if she's p*ssed. Told her I'm pretty sure she'd come off second best, but probably a good thing for long term relations if he comes here.
