I saw some of the captured images from the Truck Cams in the Dom Post and also on 'Close Up' tonight. It is so amazing how some people seem to wear their 'stupid' hat when driving around trucks. I drive trucks all the time for work and see it first hand. Had one clown overtake me in between Christchurch and Ashburton when I was slowing down due to the stopped traffic ahead. As soon as he overtook me, he slammed on his brakes to avoid the stopped traffic. After spending ages packing the back of the truck, I was reluctant to slam on the brakes upsetting my load as I felt some idiots safety wasn't as important as my load so slowed down gently using the gears and only just avoided colliding into him (by a matter of millimetres). He got a torrent of abuse yelled at him as I hung out the window.
I also had one car try to overtake me as I was coming to the end of the passing lane and merging back into the one lane. He had the nerve to toot at me as my merging forced him onto the other side of the road in the path of on coming traffic. He had to slam his brakes on and get in behind me to avoid a collision.
