Title: The Lost Symbol
Post by: guest49 on October 15, 2009, 04:08:26 pm
Finished Dan Browns Lost Symbol the other night.
What can I say?  Compared to The DaVinci Code, this book needs crutches, its so weak.
You wouldnt think it was written by the same man.
The DaVinci Code was a book I found hard to put down.  This one I found hard to return to.  If you are interested in Fremasonry and its subsidiary Red Lodge, I suppose it has an interest...... but the plot is weak as are the characters.

I won't put this one on the bucket list then.     I have just opened Sins of the Father by Fleur Beale.    It is about the Cooperite religious sect.   Will comment on the outcome in due course.

One of the Fleur Beale books I read was "I am not Esther", which was about a cult. Was a good read, even though it was written for young adults.

I'll read The Lost Symbol if it comes into work. Actually I am suprised it hasn't yet. I have heard comments from others that it is his best yet.
